Parking Ticket Machine System — Entry Lane

A parking ticket machine system is the complete entry lane solution for a gated parking facility — the ticket machine, barrier gate, LPR camera, access control pedestal, intercom, and lot full signage all working together, connected to CloudEASE parking management software.

What's in the system

Every component in the entry lane.

Parking BOXX configures the parking ticket system to match your facility — a small surface lot might need just a ticket machine and barrier gate, while a multi-level hospital garage might use all components across multiple entry lanes. Not every lane needs every component.

How the Entry Lane Parking Ticket System Works

The parking ticket system manages three types of entry events through one lane.

Parking BOXX designs entry lane parking ticket systems that handle monthly credential access, transient barcode ticketing, flat-rate entry payment, and LPR-based layered entry from a single integrated lane. Every component communicates in real time through CloudEASE.

Mode 01

Monthly and Credential-Based Entry

Monthly parkers, employees, residents, and hotel guests with registered credentials approach the entry lane and present their access credential — an RFID proximity card, HID Mobile Access on their smartphone, or a long-range vehicle tag.

The parking ticket system validates the credential in CloudEASE for the correct date, time, and facility, records the entry event, and opens the barrier gate. No ticket is issued. The entire process takes seconds.

Mode 02

Transient Barcode Ticket Entry

Visitors and hourly parkers press a button at the Entry BOXX ticket machine to receive a barcode ticket. The ticket encodes an encrypted timestamp with the entry date, time, and lane number. Once the driver takes the ticket, the barrier gate opens and the entry is recorded in CloudEASE.

When the driver is ready to leave, they present the ticket at a parking pay station where the barcode is scanned to calculate and collect the duration-based fee.

Mode 03

LPR Layered Entry

When an LPR camera is installed at the entry lane, LPR serves as the primary entry layer — the system captures the vehicle's license plate as it approaches. CloudEASE checks the plate against its database of registered monthly parkers, pre-registered visitors, and hotel guests.

If the plate is recognized, the barrier gate opens automatically — no ticket, no credential, no stop. If the plate is not recognized, the system falls back to standard ticket dispensing so the driver still gets tracked. Every vehicle gets a path forward — no dead ends.

Mode 04

Flat-Rate and Event Entry Payment

For event parking or facilities that charge a flat rate regardless of duration, the Entry BOXX can be configured to accept payment at the entry lane. The machine displays the rate, the driver pays by credit card or contactless tap, a receipt ticket is printed, and the barrier gate opens.

CloudEASE allows operators to schedule flat-rate periods in advance — the system switches modes automatically without manual intervention.

Entry Lane System Components

A complete parking ticket machine system from Parking BOXX includes:

Entry BOXX ticket machine
ENB-5xx series

High-speed barcode ticket printing, optional credit card entry payment, custom branding with your logo and colors, lot full display, and a user-friendly interface that works for first-time visitors. 12" LCD with programmable storyboards and multiple languages.

Base
Barrier Gate
Magnetic / LiftMaster compatible

Standard, articulating, and high-speed arms available. Vehicle detection loops prevent the gate from closing on vehicles in the lane. Fast-cycle operators open and close in under two seconds for high-volume facilities.

Base
LPR Camera
License plate recognition

License plate recognition camera serves as the primary entry layer — captures plates at entry, opens the gate for registered vehicles, falls back to ticket dispensing for unregistered ones. Transaction linking and security tracking. Integrates directly with CloudEASE for real-time plate lookup. Also available: security cameras and NVR.

Option
Access Control Pedestal
RFID · HID Mobile · Long-range tag

RFID card reader, HID Mobile Access, and long-range credential support for monthly parkers, employees, and residents. Credentials are managed in CloudEASE with date, time, and facility restrictions. Standard on Access Control systems; optional add-on for entry lane systems.

Option
VoIP Intercom
Built-in or standalone

Built into the Entry BOXX or mounted as a standalone unit. Connects drivers to remote support staff for real-time assistance without requiring on-site personnel.

Option
Lot Full Signs & Vehicle Counters
12" full-color LCD

Display available space counts to incoming drivers. When the facility reaches capacity, the parking ticket system can stop issuing tickets and hold the barrier gate closed until spaces free up.

Option
CloudEASE Parking Management Software
Included with all systems

Every entry event is recorded in real time. Operators manage credentials, monitor lane status, run occupancy reports, and configure entry modes from any web browser — no server required.

Base
Entry Lane Configuration Options

Parking ticket systems are configured differently depending on the facility type and parker mix.

Transient-Heavy Facilities

Public garages, event venues, retail parking. Emphasize fast ticket dispensing, lot full indicators, and multiple payment options at exit. LPR adds convenience but ticket-based entry is the primary mode.

  • Entry BOXX + barrier gate
  • Lot full counter at lane head
  • LPR optional for lost-ticket fallback

Monthly-Heavy Facilities

Office buildings, residential, employee lots. Emphasize credential-based access with RFID or HID Mobile. Transient ticketing is available for visitors and service vehicles. LPR can replace physical credentials for registered plates.

  • Access control pedestal primary
  • Entry BOXX for visitor lanes
  • LPR for registered plate bypass

Mixed-Use Facilities

Hospitals, hotels, universities. Require all entry types in a single lane. Monthly staff enter by credential, transient visitors take tickets, hotel guests enter by LPR plate recognition or room key, and event parking uses flat-rate entry payment. CloudEASE manages the logic for which entry mode applies to each vehicle.

  • Full kit: ticket + credential + LPR
  • Flat-rate scheduled via CloudEASE
  • All modes on same lane

Multi-Lane Facilities

Large garages may have dedicated lanes for monthly access (credential-only, no ticket machine) alongside transient lanes with full ticketing capability. CloudEASE provides lane-by-lane monitoring and can redirect traffic if a lane goes offline.

  • Dedicated monthly-only lanes
  • Dedicated transient lanes
  • Centralized CloudEASE dashboard
CloudEASE

Every entry event. Every lane. One dashboard.

Every component communicates in real time through CloudEASE. Operators manage credentials, monitor lane status, run occupancy reports, and configure entry modes from any web browser — no server required, no on-site staff needed at many customer sites.

Ask yours
1. What Is a Parking Ticket Machine System?
A parking ticket machine system is the complete set of entry lane equipment that controls vehicle access at a gated parking facility — the ticket machine, barrier gate, LPR camera, access control pedestal, intercom, lot full signage, and parking management software all working together. The system handles monthly credential access, transient barcode ticketing, flat-rate payment, and LPR-based layered entry through a single integrated lane.
2. What Components Are in an Entry Lane Parking Ticket System?
A complete system includes the Entry BOXX ticket dispenser, a barrier gate (Magnetic or LiftMaster compatible), optional LPR camera, access control pedestal for RFID/HID credentials, VoIP intercom, lot full signs, and CloudEASE software. Configuration varies — not every lane needs every component.
3. How Does the System Handle Monthly and Transient Parkers?
Monthly parkers present a credential (RFID card, HID Mobile, long-range tag) and the gate opens after validation. Transient parkers press a button for a barcode ticket or swipe a credit card. Both use the same lane — the system detects the interaction type automatically.
4. Can the System Support LPR Layered Entry?
Yes. An LPR camera captures the plate, CloudEASE checks it against registered vehicles, and the gate opens for recognized plates. Unrecognized plates fall back to standard ticket dispensing. This gives registered parkers a hands-free experience while ensuring every vehicle is tracked.
5. Are Entry Tickets Encrypted and Secure?
Yes. Barcode tickets use encrypted encoding with the entry date, time, lane number, and a unique transaction ID. Barcodes cannot be duplicated or altered. All transaction data transmits to CloudEASE in real time for tamper-proof record keeping.
6. Can the System Be Set Up for Event or Flat-Rate Parking?
Yes. The Entry BOXX accepts credit card or contactless payment at entry for flat-rate or event parking. CloudEASE schedules flat-rate periods automatically so the system switches modes without manual intervention.
7. What Is the Difference Between a Parking Ticket Machine and a Parking Ticket System?
A parking ticket machine is the individual hardware device that dispenses tickets. A parking ticket system is the full integrated entry lane — ticket machine plus barrier gate, LPR camera, access control, intercom, lot full signs, and software all working together. Parking BOXX offers both standalone machines and complete system packages.
8. How Much Does a Parking Ticket Machine System Cost?
Pricing depends on the number of entry lanes, components selected, and integration requirements. Single-lane systems start at a lower price point; multi-lane configurations with LPR and full accessories cost more.
